USAAF North American P-51D Israeli IDF-28

This P-51 Mustang is a restoration of a hard working airplane. This airplane served three Air Forces. It was built in 1944 and finished WW2 in Europe. After the war it was transferred to the Royal Swedish Air Force. They worked it hard until 1952 when they sold it to Israel. It's unknown how long it served the Israeli defence Force but in 1976 it was rescued from a kibbutz playground near Saar Israel. It was shipped to Duxford England where it was mated to a set of wings also rescued from Israel. The restoration back to flying condition went until 1990. In 2010 it was sold again and sent to Caldwell Idaho for its final restoration. Since complete it was trucked to Seattle as this plane is static only, it will never fly again.
