For the Christian feeling shame

As a Christian trained in emotional health, I care deeply that people would know that many times the voice of God we hear inside is more informed by our wounds with humans than God Himself. God sees all context and knows the why behind the things we do. Often, we act out of protection and underneath are feeling afraid, alone, unsure of how to navigate our situations, etc. We may not have been taught how to process through our pain in ways that help us move through, and in the midst of getting stuck in pain we do things we don't want to do. Even if you don't yet know the context - God does, and He has compassion for you - the kind of compassion that knows you and your story, and can bring about the change you're really hoping for.
