How to Use Intraday Volatility for Swing Trades
We'll discuss a simple 4 step process that you can use to take advantage of intraday volatility for swing trades.
The process can be repeated for every single trade, and our goal is to have the trade be profitable on the same day we enter the trade.
We'll discuss three examples in SNAP, PINS and CDAY from today:
👉 SNAP was up more than 4.5% for our day trade, with an open swing trade.
👉 PINS was up more than 5.5% for our day trade, with an open swing trade.
👉 CDAY was up more than 1.5% for our day trade, with an open swing trade.
The overall idea here is to have a (large) list of stocks, in which you have a very clear bullish or bearish bias. For our example, we're going to be using the Slingshot Squeeze scans that we build in the squeeze course.
Using that list, we filter down by leveraging the Slingshot Squeeze backtester that we've built. The goal is to focus on stocks that have high probabilities associated with them, generally a 70%+ winning rate.
We can then take the entire list of stocks and add them to the Volatility Box platform to automatically get notified via browser notifications any time we have significant, and "useful" volatility.
