Burt Yellow Naped Amazon Bed Adventure.MOV

I was attempting to make the bed when Burt decided to venture. He's no Einstein but I love him. His vocabulary is more extensive than spoken here and he speaks when he wants, not when you want him to. He's affectionate and personable. Burt lets me groom him and he'll sit on my knee while we watch tv. He follows me from room to room sometimes. In the mornings we have fly time. Yes, his wings are not clipped and this is how we exercise. Burt educates people on the Yellow-naped Amazon Parrot. He usually talks at the same time I'm speaking making him the life of the lecture. He laughs and makes all sorts of noises. My days would be pretty dull without him, except when he starts barking like a little yappy dog. Those days I want to set him free... outdoors! But we just ignore him and he stops once he realizes he's not going to get the attention he wants. We've owned him for a year now where before he spent 9 years at a zoo and before that...who knows. I've been told he's mid to late 20's. My vet said he would be aggressive in March during mating season. He wasn't. So, Burt may be Burtha. I can't imagine my life without him.
