🇧🇷 Walking Streets of RIO DE JANEIRO in 2020

Is walking around the streets of Rio dangerous for Tourists in 2020?

There is a serious risk from crime in Rio de Janeiro. Violent crimes such as murder, armed robbery, carjacking, assault, and kidnapping are a frequent occurrence so you must be cautious.

Opportunistic street crime such as pickpocketing, purse snatching, and smash-and-grab theft from vehicles and storefronts is a constant concern for everyone including tourists.

A simple YouTube search of “Rio Theft” or “Rio Robbery” and you will find the hundreds of videos with millions of views of the daily dangers walking down any street in Rio de Janeiro.

Although crime is always high, I wanted to share with you a 3 hour walk (edited down to 20 minutes) through the streets of Rio. See what my eyes have seen on December 1st, 2020.

Yes, danger can be around any corner but that is also true for any major city and country in the world. I’ve enjoyed my stay in Brazil and I have no bad words towards the people at all.

Poverty and an empty stomach can cause humans to do some really evil things. I do not condone this type of behaviour at all! But I understand where they are coming from.

More videos from Brazil and around the world coming soon.
