The Genius of Oskar Barnack. The Leica IIIf Review.

Oskar Barnack, the inventor of the 35mm camera envisioned an easy to carry photographic tool with excellent optics and image quality that could rival the much larger film formats of the day. He not only developed the first 35mm film camera, but also the first interchangeable lens camera, and the first cloth curtain shutter. More importantly, he revolutionized photography by making it possible to take photos quickly and conveniently and is credited with the first reportage photos taken with a 35mm camera.
