How Much I Spent on My Mechanical Engineering Degree
Should you go to university/college? How expensive is university/college? Is it worth the amount of money you have to pay?
University can be expensive…so for anyone deciding on whether or not they should go to university, I made this video. I go into detail on how much money I’ve spent to get my degree. I discuss my spending on necessities like tuition, living expenses, transportation expenses, food, etc.
For reference, I studied mechanical engineering at the University of Waterloo, so the numbers you see in this video are specific to that program. Every university and every program can be different, but this just gives you an idea of what you can expect. Timestamps for every study term I had are as follows:
00:44 1A (Sep – Dec 2016)
03:44 1B (Jan – Apr 2017)
05:14 2A (Sep – Dec 2017)
06:42 2B (May – Aug 2018)
08:11 3A (Jan – Apr 2019)
09:40 3B (Sep – Dec 2019)
11:06 4A (Sep – Dec 2020)
12:06 4B (Jan – Apr 2021)
