We’ve all seen the news on how brutal these recent layoffs have been. Google laying off 12,000. Microsoft laying off 10,000. Twitter 4,000. Tesla 6,000. Snapchat 1,000. Amazon 18,000. Meta 11,000. And with every layoff, LinkedIn gets flooded with posts like this. Doesn’t matter if you’ve been with a company for 6 months or 16 years, so many people were getting laid off. I was one of them too. So to help make it a bit easier, here are 10 tips for finding your next engineering job (after a layoff) or even your first job! I’m implementing these tips to help me find my next role.
