How to Play Drums More Like Richard Spaven: Transcription Breakdown

In this video I wanted to dive into a clip of one of my favorite drummers on the planet, Richard Spaven. I started transcribing this little segment of Richard playing over his track "Law" a few months ago, and wanted to share what I learned along the way. My goal was not to copy "licks" or phrases, but to integrate some CONCEPTS into my own playing, and I hope this video helps you do the same!
