In 2019 I have partnered with MGR CrossFit to host one of my weightlifting seminar aimed at developing Snatch and Clean and Jerk. The seminar is good for weightlifters and CrossFit athletes.
This is more practical hands-on seminar than theoretical, but I dedicate enough time to talk about every movement in weightlifting, because the more you understand, the better you can control it.
During the clinic we had Snatch DAY on day 1 and Clean and Jerk on day 2.
We discuss key points:
• How to Snatch safely using snatch technique and mechanics
• Difference between Power Snatch and Squat Snatch
• Hang Snatch variations
• The importance of Snatch balance, Overhead Squat and Push Press for developing upper body strength and drop movement.
THE CLEAN AND JERK
• How to Clean and Jerk safely
• Difference between Power Clean And Squat Clean
• Hang Clean variations
• Clean Pull variations to improve C&J
• Detailed Explanation of different Jerk styles (Push Jerk, Power Jerk, Squat Jerk, Split Jerk)
