This video is a continuation of Part 1 of the “Why You Should Change” series.

Put simply, this series centers around determining the impact (or lack thereof) of climate change on the human race, animal and plant life, and the Earth as a whole. If you want a comprehensive look at climate change, this is your video series! In later videos I also cover topics related to the environment that *aren't* climate change/global warming related. These videos explore how/if we, as individuals and as a collective, impact the changing climate. And, most importantly, it explores why we should change in relation to these topics. Or, in reality, *if* should we change.

If yes, how should we change to better the lives of ourselves and others? If no, then why is there so much pressure to change?

The series is split into two parts: Part 1: "The Politics" and Part 2: "The People." These two parts are divided into "Chapters" which will usually just be shown by video titles (i.e. "Petitions and Polar Bears").

The second video in the series starts assessing arguments made by “skeptics” or “deniers” of climate change. I explain each of the arguments and either debunk them or prove their validity. The arguments made by skeptics in this video include:

1) The Petition Project: “Over 30,000 scientists have signed a petition stating global warming isn’t human-caused.”

2) Glaciers: “Glaciers are not actually melting. They are growing in many places and the melting ones are outliers.”

3) Polar Bears: “Polar Bears are not going extinct. Their numbers are actually growing. They’re thriving.”

4) Little Ice Age: “The Little Ice Age that happened before the Industrial Revolution caused the current warming trend. It isn’t humans warming the earth with their carbon emissions, it’s the Earth going through a natural cycle. We are simply moving from cold to warm.”

“The first website I found conveniently summarized many arguments that I repeatedly found during my research, was this site. I will admit I don’t love the condescending presentation on this page, but it does have well-developed arguments. Not to mention I have seen the same “holier than thou” attitude displayed by climate believers. I will also say that this was written a while ago, but again, it summed up a lot of arguments I still see and it’s a good reference for some of the better contrarian arguments. I also found this website that contains a lot of the same ones as well as counter points to them, however, these counter points do not go in depth so I’m using this more as a tool to summarize. So keeping all of this in mind, let’s just dive in. I’m going to try and go from the simplest and less significant arguments to the most significant ones.”
