Quantum Trailblazer TRB850AT

This shows the last of my Quantum Trailblazer hard drives. I am told that this product line was an economy model and were not as well made as other models. These were available in 420 MB, 630 MB, and 850MB such as the two I have. I have had many 420 MB drives, a 630 MB, and the the 850 MB drives in this video. Many were obtained from my high school in 2001 when many of their 386 computers were being retired.

The first drive is in surprisingly good shape for it's age being an economy drive. Only one bad block.
The second drive is in poor condition. Many bad sectors and in one place past 40% the drive will fail to respond to drive scans or formatting. Drive not ready error. Considered unrecoverable.

These two 850 MB drives have different labels possibly for different years of manufacture. Estimated years of 1993 or 1994. I think the drive with the black label is the older one.

Cylinders 1647, Heads 16, Sectors 63

Test computer: Pentium-S 200MHz 64MB RAM
Due to the high specs, it loads DOS 6.22 and Windows 3.11 very quickly compared to my past tests on a 386. Needed the large drive bios support.
