Backwoods Ruins & A Lost Cemetery (Part II) | History Traveler Episode 64

In the late 1800s, the demand for steel skyrocketed with the development of the Bessemer process, which provided a quicker and more efficient way to make steel. With that came a high demand for the mining of iron ore. This episode explores a backwoods ruin that looks like something out of an Indiana Jones movie and is tied to that era of the late 1800s. Enjoy!

It's hard to say how much history has been lost to time. In this episode, we're looking at one community that existed back in the late 1800s and has been all but wiped off of the map. Doing some backwoods exploration in this one!
