Inside the LAST Minesweeper of WWII | History Traveler Episode 76

In the years following WWII, many of the ships and aircraft that were used to win that war were sent off to the scrapyard to be repurposed. The result left us with precious few examples of the tools used by the Americans to fight against the Axis Powers. In this episode, we are exploring the LAST AND ONLY minesweeper on the planet; the USS Hazard. Much to see and learn on this one!

DISCLAIMER: At the 3:45 mark, I say "timed release" in reference to the depth charges. A better phrase would have been "pressure detonation" as the US used a hydrostatic fuse on the depth charges.
