Here are the common topics/questions found across all the question papers for Basic Mechanical Engineering (BME):
1. Mechanical Properties:
Define mechanical properties such as strength, hardness, elasticity, ductility, toughness, and fatigue.
Explain Hooke’s law and draw the stress-strain diagram for ductile materials.

2. Hardness Tests:
Explain the Brinell Hardness Test with a neat sketch.
Describe methods of measuring hardness (e.g., Brinell, Rockwell).

3. Laws of Thermodynamics:

Differentiate between laminar and turbulent flow.
