As we all know there are first semester exams for new students of RGPV
Which is started from February 2025
And i all give you most important topics of every subject of RGPV exam 2025.
This video is made for first semester / first year students of RGPV, Bhopal.

Here are the common topics/questions found across all the question papers for Basic Mechanical Engineering (BME):
1. Mechanical Properties:
Define mechanical properties such as strength, hardness, elasticity, ductility, toughness, and fatigue.
Explain Hooke’s law and draw the stress-strain diagram for ductile materials.
2. Hardness Tests:
Explain the Brinell Hardness Test with a neat sketch.
Describe methods of measuring hardness (e.g., Brinell, Rockwell).
3. Laws of Thermodynamics:
State and explain the Zeroth, First, and Second laws of thermodynamics. Discuss Kelvin-Planck and Clausius, Explain thermal equilibrium and the Zeroth law of thermodynamics.
4. Lathe Machine:
Explain the main parts of a lathe machine, describe operations performed on a lathe (e.g., facing, knurling, turning).
5. Boilers:
Explain the construction and working of Babcock and Wilcox boilers, List and explain boiler mountings and accessories.
6. Engines:
Explain the working of four-stroke petrol and diesel engines with neat sketches.
Describe the differences between two-stroke and four-stroke engines.
7. Fluid Mechanics:
Define viscosity and explain Newton’s law of viscosity.
Differentiate between laminar and turbulent flow.

8. Measurement Tools:
Explain the construction and use of Vernier calipers.
Describe the sine bar and its applications.
Slip gauges and micrometers.
