Give Your Wilting Blooms a Second Life: DIY Projects for Repurposed Flowers

In this video I will show you some easy and fun DIY projects you can make with repurposed flowers. Don't just compost those wilty blooms, reuse them in a creative way.

Drying old flowers are a way to give them a new purpose. After they are dried, you can use them in many ways: in bouquets (both fresh and dried), in wreaths or in other displays. To dry your old flowers, simply remove any leaves, rubber-band a bunch together and hang the bunch upside down. A dry, cool, dark place will produce the best results. Not all flowers dry well. Pressing is another way to reuse old flowers. I have a beautiful press from Kate Punnet (https://www.katepunnett.com/). Place your flowers in between the paper or felt and squash. That's it. Over time the resulting pressed petals can be used in multiple projects like greeting cards or in a frame.

Floral flatlays are super Instagramable. Take your old flowers and arrange on a flat surface for an overhead picture. Get creative with patterns, colors, different parts of your old flowers.
