FREE CAMPING on the Murray River Victoria! [ Echuca - Swan Hill - Nyah ]

We go on a FREE CAMPING road trip along the Murray after our mad dash back to Victoria!

First we head off in our 76 Series Landcruiser and Jayco Starcraft Caravan to the historic town of Echuca and free camp just a few kilometres out of town on a camp we found on WIKI camps. Echuca is a beautiful town that sits on the border of Victoria and New South Wales separated by the Murray River and with the town of Moama on the other side. It celebrates it's rich history as a key port from the 19th century river trade, showcasing their paddle steamers, vintage cars and horse and carts.

We then head a few hours North West up the border to another border town Swan Hill where we visit the Pioneer Settlement which also celebrates the areas rich history.

After Swan Hill we head a bit further up the Murray to a small town called Nyah and we free camp along the edge of the Murray accessed by the Nyah Rec Reserve.
