Alaska off grid cabin | First winter snow and we lost one tent and a tree

We had our first snow on the Alaskan homestead. It was a wet, heavy snow and one of our tents collapsed under the weight. We also had a multi day wind storm with 50 mph winds. We lost one tree in that. Living off grid is hard enough, having damage done due to weather makes it even harder.
