Is CORTISOL Good or Bad ? | Lose Weight in a Healthy Way & Reduce Stress!
Is cortisol good or bad for you?
On the one hand, cortisol goes up when we experience chronic stress.
So it seems cortisol isn't good for you.
It depends on the reasons it got high in the first place.
If cortisol goes up because you didn’t sleep well, it’s bad.
Or if you have chronic pain….
Or because you have too
much emotional stress and you're worried you gonna get fired or won’t be able to able to provide for your family, it's NOT good.
If cortisol goes after healthy muscle tissue and bones and makes sugar out of it, it’s bad as well.
But if cortisol is the way of the body to make sugar because you don’t eat sugar (e.g. to lose weight) or fast, it’s good.
This is when cortisol gonna target bad proteins working with autophagy ("self-eating") and get rid of them.
