Boracay Island, Philippines - December 2020 [4K]

This is a Quick Guide based on my experience going to Boracay Island with the current government guidelines. As far as I know only those that live in areas which are under GCQ and MGCQ are allowed to visit. For more up to date information visit the Facebook page of Aklan LGU or Department of Tourism. On of those in the video below are a few more pointers.

After you have booked your flight and accommodations you may follow the same exact steps as what I did below. You can book your flight with Cebu Pacific and Air Asia just double check their schedule of flights. Make sure to book flights going to Caticlan Airport since Kalibo International Airport is not open to Tourist, also you need to download the Traze App on your mobile. For accommodations I suggest you use either Agoda or Booking.com, double check the reviews before booking. If you have boatloads of cash and want a hassle free trip just book your flight and check offers of accommodations from your chosen hotel for seamless transfer to the island the most comprehensive I’ve seen is from Discovery Shores and they even have a detailed guide ( not sponsored and not staying in this hotel)

1) Pre-Book your RT PCR Swab test and ensure that you take it 72 hours before your flight and double check when you will get the results. I chose Philippine Red Cross since it was faster and smoother transaction and I got my results same day at no additional cost, I booked through their website and paid online P4000. You can check Department of Health website for list of accredited laboratories or if you booked with a hotel some have recommended partners
2) Once you get the results visit touristboracay.com and fill out the Health Declaration Form and once completed down the pdf copy. Just in case you don’t get a copy screenshot the Submission Complete part
3) Send an email to touristboracay@gmail.com and with this exact subject OHDC - Last Name, First Name
4) Attach on the email your RT PCR Results, Roundtrip Airline Tickets, Confirmed Hotel Accommodations, Valid Government ID
5) You will get a response within the day or at max 12 hours. If successful they will send you a document containing your unique QR code
6) Save all documents on your mobile and best to have a printed copy with you, you will show these for validation at the Airline Counter at Manila International Airport, upon Arrival in Caticlan Airport, at the Jetty Port going to the Island, upon arrival at your Hotel. Your QR code will be scanned whenever you visit certain places while on the island
