2020 Honda CRF250L : First impressions review

Quick first impressions review of my 2020 Honda CRF250L - I've had the bike for two weeks and have completed around 300 miles. Not very much I know but around 40% of that has been green laning around the beautiful countryside of Northumbria, UK which I think gives a very valid impression of the bike.

What is the CRF250L? It's not a dirt-bike - it's a soft and cuddly trail bike, very much in the mould of Honda XL's and certainly not XR's - however, it has decent suspension travel and steers beautifully so it's probably somewhere in-between. It's absolutely not a competition / dirt-bike but I think it would get you most places on a whiff of petrol and at a gentle speed. It's a nice little thing.

What have I changed on the Honda CRF250L? Not much, just added:

- Acerbis Rally Guards
- R&G skid plate

I like the quiet exhaust so won't be changing that - but I think the suspension needs a bit of work. As for the gearing - while it's not exciting, 1st and 2nd are low enough for the trails I ride on but yes, if you needed to wheels over logs or bogs, then more instant power would be needed.
