CT125: 2021 Honda Trail 125 - USA OWNER Initial Ride Review

Today is December 3, 2020, and I am picking up my new Honda Trail 125 (CT125 Hunter Cub) from the dealer. Skip to the end of this description for clickable time indexes.

Eastside Honda Powersports called me yesterday to tell me that my long-awaited Trail 125 had arrived! So, I cleared my schedule to spend the following day picking up my new toy! I give a brief walkthrough of the dealer's showroom, the signing of the sales contract, and a glimpse into their service area where the unboxing video was recorded (you can watch that video here: https://youtu.be/IUsaee6uZwQ ).

The Trail 125 comes almost fully-assembled from Honda of Thailand... only the mirrors, battery, and basic fluids are needed. The initial setup and pre-delivery inspection (PDI) was quick, and I was out riding the bike within about 2 hours. The first ride to get home was 80 miles from door to door. My initial impressions of the bike are excellent... here are some quick thoughts:

1. The Trail 125 is geared lower for more torque and less top speed;
2. The handlebars are slightly higher and wider;
3. The seat feels more comfortable, but I can't explain why quite yet;
4. The mirrors are nearly worthless, but they are higher than the Cub's
5. The Trail 125's exhaust note seems to be a little bit quieter than the Cub
