In the chapter Concept of a #Surface of Differential Geometry, Students will learn what is called surface and its #parametric_equations and different forms of the equation of a surface, old definition of a surface, #first_fundamental_form/#metric and #second fundamental form and their #fundamental_magnitudes E, F, G and e, f, g. Also they will learn relation between E, F, G, parametric curves, element of #area_of_surface, angle between two directions and two #parametric_lines on the surface, #unit_surface_normal, equation of the tangent plane.
Also in the chapter local non-intrinsic properties of a surface students will learn the definition of #normal_section, #normal_curvature, #Meusniers_theorem, #principal_curvatures and #principal_directions, Equation of principal curvature, Principal direction, #Navel_point, #normal_curvature, #Geodesic_curvature, #Mean_curvature and #Gaussian_curvature, lines of curvature, #Rodrigues_formula, #Euler_theorem_on_surface, #Dupins theorem, #elliptic_Point, #hyperbolic_point and #parabolic_point, #third_fundamental_form, relation between three fundamental forms I, II and III, #asymptotic_directions, #asymptotic_lines, #Beltrami_Enneper Theorem, #Weingarten_Equations/Derivatives of unit surface normal and #Gaussian_Equations
