Wallace Creek - Carrizo Plains - San Andreas Fault

The Carrizo Plains National Monument has within it Wallace Creek, a feature that clearly shows the action along the San Andreas Fault, where the upper and lower sections of the creek are offset by 420 feet (128 meters). This is one of the most dramatic examples of the movement caused by earthquakes and geologic forces.
