On this episode I continue with the ongoing restoration of this 1979 Kenworth W900A truck to turn it into a tribute movie truck to the one used in the 1977 classic movie Smokey and the Bandit with Burt Reynolds, Jerry Reed and Jackie Gleason. If you haven’t seen it yet, what are you waiting for??? “Now these Peterbilt’s here are worth $80,000 … that comes to about 3 grand and hour is you make in 28 hours”

I ordered a new seat from National Seating with the mid-back and the classic stitching and then to keep it movie accurate, I had the DayCab Company recover the original jumper seat in matching black vinyl. Before I could install them however, I needed to finish up the other interior work from the previous episode including the defrost fan that was in the original movie truck and the Pace CB145 … still looking for the 10-4U police scanner though. Once I got going on the seat install it went smoothly save for the lack of space behind the fixed jumper seat. All in all, it turned out really well and I’m one step closer to getting this truck back on the road.
