La Piscine Tribute

A tribute to one of the best and most enjoyable movies I saw this year, a 1969 slow-burn Psychological thriller, LA PISCINE. The film’s apparently adored by by today’s moviegoers as well for it was re-released during this year’s summer and became a surprise hit. Set in the summertime in a beautiful villa near French Riviera, La Piscine is a drama about sexual jealousy, possessiveness and fear of losing. Former real-life couple, the most handsome French actor Alain delon and the most beautiful and talented French actress Romy Schneider play the fictional Jean Paul and Marianne, both are in their lazy summer holiday when suddenly old friend Harry (Maurice Ronet) together with his teenage daughter (Jane Birkin) come, interrupt their daily romance, unexpectedly change everything into awkward situation and escalete into a dreadful nightmare....
