Bulgaria is getting more and more attention lately. Many of our clients are considering relocating here.
Why is this the case? What does Bulgaria offer that they feel like they can't get elsewhere?

Well, some things are quite obvious: low costs of living and low taxes. These are the two main and the most obvious factors.
However, there's much more than that.
In these times, many find Bulgaria to be more freedom and liberty-oriented country. There are not many restrictions, and many people live lives as nothing was happening. Vaccines are not mandatory, and the country is quite open. Coming from communist background people in such countries have a deep distrust in the government and its institutions. This is quite different from people who live in Canada, for example where trust in government is quite high.

Cultural and historical factors made Bulgria a country that doesn't really like to follow the rules, and the current situation is not an exception.

Would Bulgaria be the right country for you? Well, this will depend on your needs and wants.
If you like nature and outdoors, this could be a great place. There are many things to do, and life is much cheaper than in most Europe.

The downside of Bulgaria is that they're not in the Schengen zone yet. As you probably already know, Bulgaria offers citizesnhip by investment program, which takes quite a bit of time.
You can also acquire citizenship by naturalization, after living in Bulgaria for some years.
