The question is should we believe in astrology or no? There are nine planets and in those nine planets, earth is not even counted in astrology. There is no planet called the Earth. Date, year, star, planet and the panchang (hindu calendar) are all outside the earth. The date is dependent upon the moon, a day is dependent upon the sun. There is no mention of earth. The place where we live, who has such an enormous effect that if a earthquake hits, thousands of people die, that planet earth is nowhere in the science of astrology.

Secondly, the moon is a natural satellite. That does not mean that it does not have an impact on the human existence. It does have an effect. A moon that can create tides in an ocean, it can also create many emotions in your mind. But, to interpret this meaning that with moon, my future will be decided, is ignorance not astrology. And, Rahu and Ketu are not the planets. If we read our scriptures, according to them, whenever there is an eclipse, Rahu eats up the Sun and then throws it out. At that time they did not know that it is the earth that has come in front of the Sun.
