Removing an LS to make room for something better...

Its time for that junky little 5.3 LS to hit the trash can, and make way for its much larger replacement, the L18 8.1 Vortec. This bad boy has 496 cubes, but before it can go in, the old LS has to go.

There are many different ways you can pull an engine from a truck, some much quicker than others, but I prefer a bit slower but much safer method. By removing the grille, headlights, radiator, core support, and AC condenser, it provides easy access to all the components and virtually eliminates the possibility of damaging any sheetmetal on the way out.
