A unique collaboration is underway on Yie Ar Kung-Fu KAI, bringing together experienced developers and students from a video game school in Valencia. As part of this initiative, interns from IES Font de Sant Lluis are contributing to the enhancement of classic arcade titles by improving graphics while maintaining full compatibility with the original hardware.

Despite having no prior experience with retro arcade systems or FPGA technology, these young developers have quickly embraced the challenge. Their work demonstrates both creativity and respect for the source material, showcasing how a new generation can contribute to the preservation and evolution of classic games.

This project highlights the future of FPGA gaming, where fresh talent helps breathe new life into iconic titles. Early results are already available through dedicated files, with more enhanced “KAI” versions expected to be released as the collaboration continues.
