From the maker of ShaderGlass comes it's sister project "ShaderBeam". ShaderBeam is a Windows desktop overlay designed to run BFI and CRT beam simulation shaders over everything on your screen, including games, video, and general desktop content. Built on Blur Busters’ CRT simulation technology, it delivers exceptional motion clarity that closely mirrors the look and feel of a real CRT display. ShaderBeam is focused purely on motion clarity rather than visual effects like scanlines; for full scanline emulation, its sister application, ShaderGlass, is recommended. To get the best experience, ShaderBeam requires a high-refresh-rate monitor (100 Hz or higher, with 240 Hz or more recommended), runs on Windows 10 or 11 (latest Windows 11 preferred), uses RivaTuner Statistics Server for proper frame limiting, and benefits from a second GPU or integrated GPU to minimise synchronisation issues.
