Blurry backgrounds with a telephoto lens

Have you ever wondered how to make the background in your images blurry? Here I share with you my top tips for easily creating a beautiful background blur using a telephoto lens. I show you my camera settings and technique for selecting the perfect background.

In this video I am using a Canon 7D mark II camera and a Canon EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS lens. However the same technique will work for any setup that includes a telephoto lens with at least 200mm focal length.

Camera Settings: Aperture Priority, f/5.6, ISO 400 and 300mm focal length.
