Joseph Carey Merrick, better known as John Merrick, was an English man known for having severe deformities. He became well-known throughout the UK after Joining a freak show. He adopted the stage name The Elephant Man. The freak show was opposite London Hospital where he became to know Sir Frederick Treves, After a short journey abroad he came back to Britain penniless after being robbed by his manager. After a massive fundraising event held by London Hospital, he went to live in adapted quarters at London Hospital.
Everyone knows his Bones were kept on display at London Hospital but where did the rest of him go?
