SkyJump off the Strat with Aunt Liz! World Record 829 feet Vertical Zip! Stratosphere Las Vegas!

Watch Aunt Liz jump off the platform 829 feet in the air with the world's highest controlled descent jump! A heart-pounding, scream-inducing (beware), open-air leap above the neon Strip that holds a Guinness World Record as the highest commercial decelerator descent.

You can see Aunt Liz ate it at the bottom but she was a lot braver than some of the other jumpers who completely chickened out once they got up to the top. One woman even got pushed off the ledge by her boyfriend after she said she couldn't do it.

Riders of SkyJump Las Vegas are given a short safety lesson and suited up in a Strat custom “jump suit”. The rider is then connected to a patented highspeed “descender” machine and led to the edge of a small platform where they will leap out and descend the Strat SkyPod. The effect is similar to bungee jumping. Guide wires keep riders from straying off. Just prior to reaching the rapidly approaching ground, the machine slows the rider down, bringing them to a controlled landing. Always good for a great adrenalin rush.
