Mayor of Kingstown Season 4 Episode 6 Recap and Ending Explained!

Bunny Gets Hit
On their route to a meeting with Moses and Mike, Bunny and his driver, Lamar, were abruptly ambushed on the highway by four or five men who were lurking in the woods. Even though Bunny's car was bulletproof, it was unable to shield the large man when they opened fire on it. A few of the bullets penetrated and struck Bunny while she was seated inside. He was in severe condition and needed to be rushed to the hospital as soon as possible, yet the episode did not specify where he was struck. Meanwhile, Lamar, who had stepped out of the truck, concealed behind the wheel and fired back at the shooters. Since the gunmen vanished into the woods as soon as Lamar fired the rounds and called 911 right away to take Bunny to the hospital, I believe there was some sort of signal.

Now, we have to take two things into consideration. It may look like it was the cartel who attacked Bunny, but I don’t think that’s the case here. When Mike visited Lamar at the conclusion of episode 6, he discovered that he had flipped. Mike realized that Lamar was already aware of the attack because he was employed by Moses. This, after all, explains why Lamar was eager to get out of the car. He swiftly hid on the side of the automobile that wasn't being fired upon because he knew where the gunmen were. In the end, Mike further told Ian and Stevie that Moses wanted to get rid of Bunny, but I don’t think that’s the case. The trouble is, Mike and Bunny have been playing things too safe, while the cartel’s gaining stronger day by day. I believe Moses targeted Bunny and left him alive so Mike and Bunny would stop holding back and declare war on the cartel, turning the city into a battleground. In reality, Moses intends to paint the city red so he can start again and rebuild Kingstown. Or maybe Bunny merely got lucky, and Moses will plot another attack, this time at the hospital, to finish what he has started. But, that’s just a notion, because Mike’s whole speculation is based on the fact that it was Moses who crashed the freight train. Although he didn't say it explicitly, I believe that's what he meant. This is why I won’t deny the idea that Mike’s mistaken and it’s actually the cartel who plotted the attack on Bunny. And who's stopping us from thinking that Moses and the cartel might be collaborating and having some sort of deal, because we're guessing anyhow? I am skeptical of this third possibility, though, particularly since Hobbs wouldn't have asked Mike to have Moses arrested if the cartel and Moses were working together.
