Bridging gaps between humans and animals | Emily Trann | TEDxYouth@ZanakiSt
Emily feels that working with animals, more specifically animal rescue, is nothing short of fulfilling, rewarding, and sometimes heartbreaking. This field of work taught her how to live a more gentle life; gentle to animals, the environment and to people. This field has specifically taught her to ‘build a bridge’ / make a connection between humans and animals to live with utmost harmony with one another. Emily Trann moved to Dar es Salaam a little over two years ago to volunteer with Every Living Thing - Animal Rescue and Rehabilitation Center. What was supposed to be a 3-month stint turned into a 2 years (and counting) incredible journey of a lifetime.
Within this time frame of two years, Emily's expectations were exceeded from what she had initially thought of, which was when she began her very own social enterprise for the animal rescue and welfare center. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
