Stewart J Cort getting back to work after a long layup.

The Cort returns to shipping after an extended layup. On Friday, September 23, 2022, the Great Lake Tugs pull her out of the slip at Bay Shipbuilding. They needed to pull the Callaway and the Blough away from the Cort in order to get her out. Once out the Cort stood by until the two tugs could push the Blough and Callaway back in. The Cort then pulled ahead and tied up along the South end of the yard. On Monday, September 26, 2022, she was ready to depart. There was an NW wind blowing at 20 mph +. she was facing to the South toward the lake but would have to go through three bridges, I'm assuming with the wind that wasn't a good option. Instead, she backed out to the bay of Green Bay, backing into the wind and turning around made it pretty tough. Once turned around it was clear sailing to Superior.
