The West Highland Way to Glen Coe - Bridge of Orchy, Argyll, Scotland

Scenes from a walk along part of the West Highland Way, starting from just south of Bridge of Orchy, mostly beside the railway line. Fine contrast between the hard, mechanical lines of the train and the wild, natural scenery which surrounds it. Next, on the way North, the route goes through parts of Rannoch Moor and then on to Glen Coe and the magnificent Munro, Buachaille Etive Mor. A mile or so from Glen Coe village, there is an artificial loch, made by the Earl of Strathcona. His Canadian wife had become a little homesick, so he landscaped the whole area to look like the Rockies...
