Great Lakes Fleet AAA Class

Our first vessle is the Philip R. Clarke. She was the first of the three AAA Class ships from United States Steel fleet.(USS) She was built in 1952 and was originally built as 647 feet. Later on she was constructed into a self unloader and was now 767 feet today. She is currently owned and operated under the United States Steel Great Lakes Fleet of Duluth Minnesota.

Our second vessel is the Aurthr M. Anderson. She was built also in 1952 and was 647 feet long. She served under USS and later was constructed into a self unloader and was lengthened to 767 feet. She is currently owned and operated under the United States Steel Great Lakes Fleet of Duluth Minnesota. The Arthur M. Anderson was the vessle that was with the Edmund Fitzgerald during the storm when it went down in Lake Superior ok November 10, 1975.

Our final vessle is the Cason J. Callaway she was built in 1952 but entered service in 1953. She is the youngest (only by a few months) of the AAA Class of Great lakes fleet. She served along with her sister ships the Arthur M. Anderson and the Philip R. Clarke under the USS Fleet. She was constructed into a self unloader and lengthened to 767 feet. She is currently owned and operated under the United States Steel Great Lakes Fleet of Duluth Minnesota.
