Change to CRB Application | New Step Requires More Employment Info … But Why? [December 9th]

If you haven't already heard, the newest application period for the CRB has just opened up, but this time many people noticed that there was a change to the application process.
The CRA is requesting additional employment history information from all benefit applicants, and it's making some people nervous...
Of course there is nothing to worry about if you truly are qualified for the benefit, which is the only case in which you should be applying - however after the CRA's recent net income vs gross income debacle, which left many Canadians in a situation where they owed $14k, it makes sense that people are wanting to cross their t's and dot their i's.
