WILDLIFE PHOTOGRAPHY - Photographing DIPPERS, changing plans and making the most of each outing
Sometimes you go out to find and photograph one animal and you come home with pictures of something totally different.
I had gone out to find and photograph some Mountain Goats (spoiler alert!), but was unable to find any. As I was looking for them I noticed some American Dippers in the nearby river. This is a bird I've been wanting to photograph for some time now, but just haven't made the time to do so. Not being able to find the goats, I took this opportunity to spend a few hours with these Dippers. What a fun experience!
Many outings end this way for me. Make the most of each situation and I find you can walk away with some awesome pictures you never intended to get. I had a blast with these little birds and will continue in my search for the Mountain Goats. Stay tuned!
