Dr. Ramani Durvasula (better-known as Dr. Ramani) is a licensed clinical psychologist in private practice in Santa Monica and a professor of psychology at California State University in Los Angeles.
She received her B.S. in Psychology from the University of Connecticut and her MA and Ph.D. degrees in Clinical Psychology at UCLA. She is the go-to media expert for a multitude of mental health topics – most notably: narcissism. She has also authored multiple books, including Should I Stay or Should I Go: Surviving a Relationship With a Narcissist.
Her new book, It’s Not You shows that the first step is to stop trying to change the narcissistic person, stop blaming yourself, and start giving yourself permission to foster your autonomy and sense of self outside of this relationship.
