Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railway - Bygones Event (DBLM Steam)

Magical moments capturing some of the very best of the Welsh narrow gauge scene. Seven locomotives including all three of the currently-operational England locomotives, a wealth of historic rolling stock and another chance to see the gravity slate train. Featuring trains to Tan y Bwlch, and Blaenau Ffestiniog, a demonstration freight, and two trains returning from Beddgelert to Porthmadog (including a charter special seen previously on Gwyndy Bank and at Tan y Grisiau). Dry, warm and calm conditions on Sunday 10th October, with plenty of sunshine - and a good hint of early autumn colours in the landscape - probably the best weather day of the event. Some great sound effects and a very positive and up-beat atmosphere. With thanks to all the staff and volunteers involved - and to the organisers for being courageous to schedule such a gala whilst the recovery process from the pandemic is still very relevant.
