Restoring a Rusty Foster Bros. Meat Cleaver (Antique Restoration)

In this video I restore a Foster Brother's antique meat cleaver that I found at an estate sale for 5 dollars. I start off by removing the original handles and then all of the rust. After that I sand down the imperfections. Then polish it and use Birchwood Casey's Perma Blue. I shape new handles for it out of figured walnut and stabilized them using Wood Juice. I made the spacers out of G10, then attach them all with brass pins and epoxy.
The final product came out great, the cold blue gives the steel a nice rich and varied blue color. Direct sunlight really brings out the detail and color. So, at the end of the video I have added some still shots to better capture and those details.

I hope you enjoy the video!
