‘It would do a lot’: Rabbi urges Australians to ‘reach out’ to Jewish friends
Rabbi Nochum Schapiro has encouraged Australians to “reach out” to the Jewish people in their life and tell them they’re thinking of them.
“It would do a lot to the positive perspective of the community,” Mr Schapiro said.
Mr Schapiro sat down with Sky News Outsiders team to discuss the attack on Israel and the rise of anti-Semitism in Australia.
The Rabbi said the anti-Jewish slurs and rhetoric displayed at a Sydney rally last week has put the city in a “terrible light”.
This comes as up to 15,000 people have marched through Sydney’s CBD for Palestine as the conflict worsens in Gaza.
