Boscobel House (English Heritage)

Boscobel House derived from Italian bosco bello (the beautiful wood) was built in the early 1600s as a secondary residence by John Giffard, his main residence being the nearby White Ladies Priory.

With the Oak being famous as the location where Charles II hid, this is a recommended visit for English history buffs!
