Madeira - The land of hills and flowers

In 2016 we took a spring time holiday to the Portuguese island of Madeira. Going at that time of year, the weather was bound to be changeable - we really did have everything from bright sunshine to lashing it down with rain.

Based at the Hotel Riu Palace Madeira, we were a 15 minute bus journey from the island capitla,Funchal - perfectly placed to get around the rest of the island.
