London bus Route 388 Stratford City Bus Station to London Bridge Bus station via Hackney Wick
Route 388 commenced operation on 25 January 2003 between Hackney Wick and Mansion House Station via Wick Road - Victoria Park Road - Mare Street - Cambridge Heath Station - Cambridge Heath Road - Bethnal Green (Central Line) Station - Bethnal Green Road - Shoreditch High Street - Norton Folgate - Liverpool Street Station - Bishopsgate - Threadneedle Street - Bank Station - Queen Victoria Street. It was initially operated by CT Plus from their Ash Grove (HK) garage using East Lancs Lolyne bodied Dennis Tridents.
On 25 September 2004, the route was extended from Mansion House Station to Blackfriars Station.
On 16 August 2008, the route was extended from Blackfriars Station to Temple Station.
On 1 November 2008, the route was extended from Temple Station to Embankment Station.
In 2008, Plaxton President bodied Dennis Tridents were introduced.
On 23 January 2010, the route was retained by CT Plus.
On 24 March 2012, the route was withdrawn between Blackfriars and Embankment.
In January 2013, an Alexander Dennis Enviro 400H was introduced alongside the existing Plaxton President bodied Dennis Tridents and East Lancs Lolyne bodied Dennis Tridents.
On 14 December 2013, the route was extended from Hackney Wick to Stratford City Bus Station via the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.
In 2015, the Plaxton President bodied Dennis Tridents were replaced by Scania OmniCitys.
On 21 January 2017, the route was retained by CT Plus.
In February 2017, the Scania OmniCitys and East Lancs Lolyne bodied Dennis Tridents were replaced by brand new Enviro 400H City bodied Alexander Dennis E40Hs.
On 8 April 2017, the route was withdrawn between Liverpool Street Station and Blackfriars, and was re-routed via route 100 routing via London Wall and Blackfriars Bridge to Elephant & Castle.
In February 2019, a Optare MetroDecker EV demonstrator was trialled on the route.
On 15 June 2019, the route was withdrawn between Liverpool Street and Elephant & Castle.
On 12 October 2019, the route was extended from Liverpool Street to London Bridge.
