Oh Bess, Oh Where's My Bess? - Roland Hanna

I love the way Sir Roland does this tune. I've had the LP of this recording for years but it's been hard to find on CD at a reasonable price until now. Roland has done another recorded version of this tune w George Mraz. Both that one and this are excellent. The title of the CD refers to the fact that the tunes on the CD are composed by Gershwin, Hoagy Carmichael and also include the theme from the play "Cats". On the CTI label originally, it is reissued here under the King Records label as a Japanese import. Recorded July 1982 at the famous Van Gelder Studios in New Jersey. Personnel:
